The Versatile Blogger Award

Recently I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award.  Twice, even! within the same day!!  I’m honoured of course; in this kinky little niche I have I don’t expected to catch many awards for distinction!

I have found in my research around the web that this award is actually a very nifty device for highlighting blogs that perhaps one might not catch otherwise but are well worth the read and passing the love forward

The rules of having been nominated are simple:

Thank you, thank you, Clive!  Of course I should have known you’d pass the baton on to me, we’ve been egging each on since the beginning!!  Whatever would I do without my Rider to inspire me, to encourage me, and be the best friend/kindred spirit one could have on the journey to discovering our kinky selves??

And Rosa, thank you so much!! we are fellow enthusiasts of sensation who both started our journeys about the same time and age; I enjoy reading your posts on bondage and impact play, as well as your take on both submission and Domination!

Seven things about myself?  Hmmn…

1. I’ve been blogging for less than a year… my blogoversary should be easy to remember as it’s New Year’s Day! quite the resolution, yes?
2. I’m submissive and have been learning what this truly means in the past year
3. Though I’m married, I have had to take this journey alone, which has caused me no small amount of angst
4. I’ve learnt through necessity to run solo sessions on bondage and sensation play, take pics and blog about it as I explore my kinky side
5. As open and friendly as I am about things here, I’m quite shy and awkward in real life and take a good deal of time to ‘warm up’
6. That said, I enjoy on-stage performing and find it quite freeing; I’ve also become addicted to the Scavenger Hunt
7. I’ve recently met my match kink for kink in my Sir and submitting to Him promises to be an exciting new journey

I feel privileged to have met so many wonderful people (though sadly not in real life) through blogging about the kink!  Again, I have to thank Clive for encouraging me to get started; whilst I have had a vanilla blog for many years on LiveJournal I had not thought of chronicling my kink journey in the same manner until he “showed me his” (!)

Molly’s Daily Kiss: a truly versatile lady who writes beautifully on a variety of aspects about her submission to her Sir (with lovely photos too!); she sponsors delightful projects such as the Pussy Project and Sinful Sunday (and occasionally Wanton Wednesday as well); and I am of course indebted to her and her Sir for “taking me in” and giving me a lovely new blogging home when the original Dragon’s Kink got tagged for spam
2. Curvaceous Dee: another versatile lady who absolutely inspires me on so many levels; I am awed by her courage, her creativity, and the awesome way she approaches and displays her journey in the lifestyle with stunning pics and descriptions.  And who better to host the Scavenger Hunt?
3. Pieces of Jade: a fellow submissive who expresses herself so well… I have learned so much of the dynamics of the lifestyle from her as well as a peek into poly!
4. A Slut’s Memoir: another fellow submissive who is also a switch, giving me insight into that as well as inspiration!
5. Hubman’s Hangout: I love his flirty, down-to-earth style on his blog and on Twitter; I’m a student of his photography how-to’s and a fan of the perspective he brings through his photography.  We’re on quite different deviant journeys but I do appreciate reading his sexy perspective on that too
6. Stranded in Toronto: Sadly, his online presence is on forced hiatus at the moment, but I’m hoping that will be short!! I love his irreverent take on kink and life in general (he is the ultimate atheist after all!) and his wicked sense of humour.
7. A Smile Like The Sun: This special fellow Dragon is my own ray of sunshine who brightens my day with his witty verse and his erotic perspective.  Another one with the naughty sense of humour too
8. My Undercover Metamorphosis: a sweetheart of a lady with an inner journey similar to mine; I enjoy reading her posts and twitterings every day
9. Late Starter Chronicles: She, like me, also tuned in to her kinky nature at a later age; I enjoy following her journey and her perspective on it through the ups and downs.
10. The Arkham Chronicles: A sweet man with a deliciously evil sense of humour and a total irreverence for political correctness; his blog is insightful and well worth the read!
11. Jonathan Vajé Erotica: Though he doesn’t post here near as often as I’d like he writes beautiful erotica; I am always quite captivated by his words and imagery.
12. A Married Sub: A fellow submissive, we share much in common.  I enjoy reading his posts for the “male” perspective on the kinky world we share!  He finds some interesting links and I love his commentary
13. The Late Phoenix: He’s got a wicked sense of humour and an interesting, intelligent perspective on life; each time I visit his blog I have to smile and he also makes me stop and think about what it is he’s focusing on.  Well worth the time spent!
14. Lusts of a Jezebel: makes me stop and think on a regular basis, her journey is rocky but quite insightful as she doesn’t shrink from what needs to be said
15. WritesForHer: I love his humility and perspective on erotica and the everyday, his understated sense of humour makes me giggle

Of course I think that everyone on my blogroll is worth the read… it was damn hard singling out “only” 15…
